Learn about the deep sea

Hello! Happy summer! I am now 6 years old and going into first grade – hooray!

As I was saying, let’s learn about the deep sea! The deep sea has many unknown creatures. It is the part of the ocean where sunlight cannot reach. The deepest known point of the ocean is 11 kilometers deep. That is about 6.8 miles.

I learned a lot from this BBC Earth Kids video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iXFD97Stn8&t=15s

This Magic Tree House book also has great information and has a matching fact tracker (I recommend both books):

I hope you enjoy the AI pictures below:

(goblin shark – yikes!)

Happy summer! Eat a popsicle and have an ice cream cone for me! 😉

Love,

Hal

Hi Hal! Welcome to summer! This post reminds me of the book I’m currently reading. It’s called “Remarkably Bright Creatures.” One of the main characters is an octopus!
