Let’s learn about pirates

Arghh!!

Hello! Today we are going to learn about pirates. If you were on a ship full of treasure in the early days, you might be a pirate. A pirate was a raider, a thief, and a stealer. These people carried weapons and used force to get what they wanted – treasure. (Pirates can be scary!)

Pirates wanted adventure and to bring wealth to themselves. Some pirates became famous, like Blackbeard who was an English pirate. Thankfully their reign ended long ago. Whew!
